Reading books with our kids is an important part of our lives. There's nothing more relaxing than snuggling up on the couch and reading some stories together - and it truly is a restful break for both myself and the kids! Marianne Richmond is an author that I recently discovered, but are really enjoying. Her books portray great messages, have colorful yet touching illustrations and are just a joy to read (or listen to!) Her most recent release for the fall is I Believe in You. The book is full of heart and is meaningful both for the child and the parent reading it! It explores that feeling in every parent's heart as we watch our children take on the big (and sometimes hard) job of growing up. Growing up really is an adventure, and the book embraces that and tells a heartfelt story about a parent's love and how much we do believe in our kids.
I found I Believe In You to be a book full of encouragement for both the parent and the child. For the child - that mom/dad will be by their side no matter what. And for the parent - that we can offer our children the support and strength they often may need as they grow up in this sometimes crazy world. :) I love how the story captures the love and relationship that can exist between parent and child. It is a simple, yet powerful story that is great for all ages!
