Remember how I JUST wrote
this post last night about how our Christmas tree is finally up...but that it's waaaay old and really sad looking? Well, apparently our tree thought so too because last night it FELL OVER!! I guess it was just getting tired of standing, keeping it's balance, etc. because out of the blue, it just FELL over! It was actually quite funny. I laughed at the site of that poor tree lying there on the ground. Not that I wasn't disappointed with the fact that we might not have a Christmas tree now, but I love finding the humor in situations like this too...and this one was just TOO funny not to laugh at. In fact, I have been breaking out in laughter over the thought of our tree falling over all day long...Yeah, Jonathan's been looking at me strangely, but every time I think about it I just crack up! ha! Anyways, the poor thing spent the night and most of today leaning against the wall! But the story does have a good ending!!! We went out and checked out the deals on Christmas trees around town and bought a new one...one that will hopefully stay standing for many years to come. :) And it was even on clearance already! We asked the workers at the store and they said it wouldn't go any lower than this even after Christmas so we figured we might as well buy one now and enjoy it for at least 2 more weeks! So this afternoon we took down that poor old tree and threw it in the dumpster. Then for the 2nd time this year we put up our Christmas tree (the NEW one!) and decorated it...

And took one more family picture in front of the new and improved, non-toppling Christmas tree! ;)

I love your family picture...so cute
Glad you got it resolved! I was laughing about it today too. Along with thinking of "speaker phone"! Fun times.
best the second time around!
Ahh...much better. Beautiful family picture! : )
and you even got a new and improved family picture... see the kiddos knew it would be better the second time around
I love that you have such a great sense of humor. It is probably one of the best attributes that a great Mommy can have! The new tree is beautiful and I love your family photo!
It looks great. Not many kids get the joy of decorating the tree twice in one year.
lol, that happened to us one year. Unfortunately, when ours fell, it broke a couple of ornaments and nearly took out my sister. ;)
Love the photo!
That is funny! We got a really fat one and it takes up half our living room. I like it though.
Great picture (Emily is looking at the camera this time!), and the tree looks wonderful.
The old tree didn't look like it had a stand. Did it?
I was hoping to catch how the tress stands actually!
I never had a Christmas tree and most of the parties I go to do but I get too caught up in the party to check what is hidden behind the presents and the teddie bears that prop up beneath the tree!
That's hilarious! If I was there, we could crack up together :)
That's a great looking tree and a great looking family. :)
