Well, I think we have finally reached THAT stage. :) You know, the one where they start learning so many new words every day that you can't even keep track of them anymore? It's so fun though. Tate has said some words for quite a while now, but just in the past week or two he has started to say SO many more words. And he's also recently started to tell us what things are instead of us having to tell him and then him repeating the word after us. We don't have any sentences or anything yet...just one word phrases, but that's okay! ;) Some of his favorite words to use now are:
Car (he tells us every time one drives by the window...or even if he just hears a car he tells us! hehe)
Truck
Train
Airplane (he can't QUITE say this one, but he tries real hard and sure loves to see airplanes in the sky and he knows what an airplane is.)
Puppy (whenever we go for a walk and he sees or hears a dog he MUST talk about the 'puppy' for the rest of the walk! :) ).
Please (he JUST started saying 'please' instead of signing it TODAY! Woohoo!)
Apple
Juice
Milk (he just started saying this instead of signing it too!)
Blue
Orange
Kitty
Cow
Daddy
Mommy
Sissy (aka...sister!)
Papa (Grandpa!)
Siah (his version of Josiah - his bestest little buddy ever!!)
Outside (of course this is a favorite! haha)
Inside
Shoes
Slippers
Boots
Dirty (This a good one...now if only he'd tell me he was Dirty BEFORE he peed his pants instead of telling me he's dirty after!! Oh well...it will come. :) )
Cookie (yum!)
And lots more...but I won't bore you with ALL the words he's been learning! ;) It's so neat to see him learn though...and it's so cute to hear him talking and to hear him trying to pronounce words.

That is awesome! I will have to remember this post because Riley doesn't say much of anything yet- this gives me hope that one day it will just click and he will start talking and talking! Yeah for Tate and his amazing list of words!!
I haven't made a list...I think I would leave something off.
Just wait until he starts putting the words together. It's so cool to have a discussion!
I love when little kids start to talk! It's sooooo cute!
Great list! I love how car and truck are at the top - Esme isn't even interested in those yet! Doll is very frequently used, though . . .
that is great... we are still hoping for that time when Blake talks in a way that more people can understand him
That is so exciting. I can hardly wait for Eliza to talk or sign. Sometiems I think she is trying to talk to me- but I am sure I am crazy. Your lil' man sure knows lots of words!
That's very cute! I am loving this stage, too. I lost track of all Fly's words. He said a new one today and I've already forgotten what it is! Bad mama....
andrea, i'm so happy for you for all these simple stuff that's happening but priceless! God bless!
I always love the talking stage! They are so full of new things to say and learn!
That's so exciting. I couldn't wait for Madison to start talking. Now I can't get her to stop!
Isn't it fun! I love how they talk at this age, everything they say is soooo cute!
