Today was a very teary day over here. Tate cried over...ummm...let's see...everything I think! I'm pretty sure it's all due to his teething...this business of getting molars does not seem to be going over well! He has been waking up several times in the middle of the night crying (he always finds his soother and puts himself back to sleep though...thankfully!) and during the day everything seems to go wrong. We were at the point where we didn't need the soother during the day anymore...but this molar business has crushed that idea! So, he pretty much has the soother all day now...and even then he is upset about something half the time. Sigh. It definitely makes the days seem a little bit longer than usual...but at the same time...I would probably feel crabby too if I was getting who knows how many molars!!
Finally after about 1/2 hr. straight of him crying over every little thing (there was only ONE thing he wanted to do and that was he wanted me to hold him and let him look in the frying pan on the stove...which wasn't even on) And if I sat down on a stool and let him look in the frying pan that wasn't good enough...I HAD to be standing. SO, finally Daddy came up with this brilliant idea:
A fort in the living room with chairs and sheets! It's amazing what a fort can do to dry up those tears. :) I don't think we saw one tear after the fort was set up!
In fact, we even got some of those smiles that were missing all day today. :)

The FUN us parents go through!
thanks goodness for great daddys!!
Tents are amazing arent they? My girls are 6 and 8 and tents are used as a bribe to get them to clean up their playroom. And then it stays clean and they dont fight the entire time it is up. I love tents!
What a great daddy!
glad you found a solution! hope tomorrow goes better for all of you
Oh poor Tate but why to go Daddy! Check out that precious smile! : )

Oh teething sucks some times. Does he have his eye teeth already? I hear those are worse.
I am so thankful for husbands who have extra patience when we don't.
It's that daddy magic again! Whenever my daughter has a day like that, my hubby always seems to be able to fix it. Thank God for daddies.
those are long days! I am sorry--I hope those molars break through soon and Tate returns to normal. Good for daddy for lending a helping hand!
