A better Disposable Diaper??

Most of you know that I am a cloth diapering mommy all the way. That's all we basically ever use at home (well, cloth training pants now)...but still...CLOTH! :) However, I don't use cloth when we go out, and I also don't use cloth diapers at night with Tate anymore (since he started sleeping through the night he pees waaaay too much for a cloth diaper to hold it all in! haha). So, for these 2 times we use disposables. And we really only use about a pack a month...or even less sometimes! So, we don't use a lot...but I have heard a few things about disposable diapers not being the best for your kids. Mainly things about the different chemicals that they have in them and how they could cause problems/reactions, etc. on your 'lil one. I also don't really like the fragrance diapers...they're gonna get dirty anyway, so why do you need the a nice smelling diaper? It's not like the fragrance is going to cover up that poopie smell! ;) So, anyways, I recently have been trying out a different kind of diaper - Seventh Generation Diapers. We can't get them in our local stores here (although I would LOVE to be able to!) but you can order them online...and they're not a lot more money than the normal ones you can get. As you can see they're just plain jane diapers though - no little mickey mouse or minnie mouse pictures! :) Which is fine with me...I'm not sure why diapers need to look so 'pretty' anyways when they're all going into the garbage in a very short period of time. So these diapers don't contain the harmful chemicals that are apparently in normal brands...they are Chlorine-free, Hypo-allergenic, Fragrance and latex-free and they're obviously still supposed to do their job of absorbing as much as they can! I tried one last night on Tate to see how it would work since he usually fills that diaper to the brim by morning!! And it worked great!! Yay! So there's my latest discovery that I've tried - Seventh Generation Diapers!

That is awesome. I am with you- the kid just pees or poops in the diaper....why does it need a fun design? Great tip- thanks for sharing!

Thanks for the info! They sound great. I use a lot of Seventh Generation products in my home. Just out of curiosity what brand of cloth diapers to do use. I am thinking of using them with Eliza when we are home but need some guidance. Any recommendations for cloth diaper brands? I didn't start of using them because I received a lot of opposition from family- they bullied me as a new mom into using disposables.
