A few months ago I won a blog contest and received the prize of three straplettes!! Contests are always SO fun to win, and I was especially excited about winning this one because I KNEW it would be something that I could and would use!! Now...what are straplettes exactly? Well, they are only for us mommies, and not just for any mommies, but for nursing mommies! I nursed Tate until he was 1 yr. old and really it was pretty easy for me -there was only one thing - I could never remember which side I needed to nurse him on! For some reason once you become a new mommy, and have a million & one other things to remember and think about (or so it seems some days :) )...this one little thing just in not remembered by my 'lil brain. So I'd do different things, like put a blanket on the side of the rocking chair that would be the side I should start nursing on next, etc...but you can't take a blanket and a rocking chair with you to church or other people's homes...so then I just tried to remember...buuut I know many times I was just guessing!! I've heard of other options too, like nursing bracelets and necklaces...but to be honest, I'm just not a jewelry kinda person. I don't wear any jewelry except for my wedding rings...oh, and watch that is from Walmart. haha. :) Not to mention that I have a nearly IMPOSSIBLE time trying to find a bracelet that will fit my wrists...they are really small. So, when I heard of this straplette idea, I thought..."now, that's much more my style!" They are little pieces of fabric with a cute little charm on each one...and you simply velcro them onto the side of your nursing bra that you will be nursing from next...and switch it back and forth accordingly. Super easy. It's not jewelry, but it's still pretty. It's not uncomfortable. I LOVE IT! :) I can't wait to use these with the next baby!
They have such cute designs...this one is definitely one of my favorites:
They even have a straplette that you can order and have a little picture and the name of your very own baby put onto it! How fun...and it makes it so much more personal too. :)
And guess what? Lisa, the owner, is giving one of YOU the chance to win one of these SUPER handy, really cute and very useful straplettes!! So in order to win, please leave a comment and you'll be entered once! For an EXTRA ENTRY link back to this giveaway post as well as to Straplettes and you'll get your name in twice! :) And hey, even if you're not a nursing mommy or don't plan to be again...it'd be a great little gift to throw in the bag for another young mom! I know that I would have loved to receive something like this as a baby gift. Contest will end on January 17th.

Those are cute. I love the Posh collection. I have a friend who is about to have a baby and these would be great for her. Thanks for the suggestion and add me to the contest please.
THis would be great! I NEVER remember which side to start on...I try thinking back and I just find fog! I used to wear a hair tie/scrunchie on my wrist....but when I went back to work, I thought everyone would wonder why I I had it on my wrist. Oh, and then there was the forgetting to switch wrists thing! Silly mommy brain! Anyway...this would be great. Thanks!
Where were all these great products when my kids were babies? Hope you are feeling better. See you soon. Kellan
I've never had the problem of which boob was next, I just give them a squeeze and from size I can tell. Ha ha ha! However I would love to win this for some friends that do have the issue. He he he!
Fun giveaway!
I would love these...my sister and sister in law are both expecting!! I am with the last commenter...I always did the squeeze test also;)
What a clever idea! I love it. Thank you for telling us about this and congratulations Andrea!
I blogged your contest.
I have never used anything because I just nurse exclusively on one side, so the next feeding I know which side has not been used, lol. But I have a couple of friends having babies that would use this. (I am not nursing now)
So true, it really is hard to remember which side to nurse on next. This sounds like something that would be great to try.
Thanks for the great giveaway!

Neat idea! I tried to remember when I was a newbie nursing mommy, but I had a hard time even remembering what day it was! What a cute way to do it, too! I'd love to win it--I have a lot of nursing mommy friends, and I'm still nursing my little one, too.
What a cute idea!!
Oooh. The posh collection has such cute stuff.
sounds like it would work enter me in your contest please
This does sound like a great idea for the nursing momma! Thanks for a chance to win one! I always forget with nursing. My baby is 10months old, but we are not done yet, either. :)
Thanks for the review and giveaway!
My sister is due in a couple weeks and would probably love something like this! Chloe was so scheduled, that I always knew which side to use at each feeding! I always started the day with the right!
i'm due in seven weeks! please enter me. thanks!
Hoping it is not too late to enter--still before midnight here in upstate NY! :-) Sounds like a good idea--fancier than a safety pin like I have used in the past!
