The Special Cup...

Today was not a whole lot better than yesterday for our 'lil Tate. A little bit better though! He actually woke up without a fever - and he slept 14 hrs. straight! So he was pretty happy at first in the morning although he still wanted NO milk (he won't drink milk ever since he's gotten sick!) and he still didn't want to eat too much variety. It seems all he wants is fruit, fruit, fruit - which isn't a bad thing because at least it's healthy and all that good stuff! He eats applesauce, blueberries, and raspberries all day long! And then the only thing he wants to drink is apple juice. I did get him to eat a little bit of oatmeal and a bit of potatoes tonight for supper though, but he didn't want too much. Anyways...he DID wake up without a fever, but after his afternoon nap he woke up WITH a fever again, and it got higher as the evening went on. Hopefully the fever will break tonight and disappear for good this time. But Tate did get our special cup today - it's my sippy cup that I use when I'm sick (hehe) and Tate got to use it today when he was sick. I wrote a post about it earlier - but it's a cup with 2 sides, so you can put 2 different drinks in there and then a straw from each side connects at the top so when you suck, you get a bit of both drinks. :) Very cool. Anyways, he thought it was pretty great...and it worked for getting him to drink more fluids too!
Tonight he started asking to go to bed around 6pm!! He never asks to go to bed...but he kept signing "sleep, sleep" so we put on his pj's and I wrapped him up in a nice warm blankie and held him on the rocking chair for a while...he was sleeping in 2 minutes flat...but I rocked him a little bit longer (just cuz sometimes us mommies can't get enough of our precious little ones - and we just want to hold them and make things better when they're not feeling good! :) )...and then tucked him into bed for the night.
