Well, about 1 week ago Tate turned 1 YEAR OLD!!! I can hardly believe that he is already 1!!! :) His actual birthday was during our camping trip, so we didn't really do anything for it then...kinda hard to celebrate too much in a little camper! :) So, we celebrated it the day after we got home. Now Tate is only eating mainly fruits and veggies so far. (and yes, he is getting all the nutrition he needs from those and his milk and the extra vitamins I give him...I have checked it all out. :) ). SOOOOO, since he's not really eating flours or sugar or anything like that yet, I couldn't really make him a normal birthday cake! He would've probably been sick to his tummy if I'd given him a cake with icing and the works! So I thought LOOONG and hard about what I could do for him. And I decided to make a banana cake...literally! hehe :) He LOVES bananas and they are sweet, so they are a treat too...and so I sliced up a banana and put it on a plate. Then I took some baby food pureed peaches and put them in my icing decorator thingee and made some little decorations on top of his banana slices...and stuck a nice blue candle right in the middle! :) He probably thought that was the best supper I'd given him in a looong time!! Anyways, here are some pictures from our little celebration! :)

OK, and this picture is even FUNNIER!!! He has this funny face that Jonathan taught him to make, and he was kinda making it in this picture, but it looks like he is viciously attacking his food! hahaha...love it!
And one of Tate opening his presents from us. (I'll tell you a secret though...actually, they were just empty boxes wrapped up, cuz we got him is presents early :) ). We got him a swimming pool and a floaty thing for the beach/bigger pools, but we got them early for him otherwise he wouldn't have been able to use them at all this summer! :) Anyways, he LOVED the wrapping paper...

Can you believe that your little boy is already one!! It's kinda shocking hey - I found it hard to believe that one year ago I had no idea what to do with the tiny little babe and now he's all growed up :) I like the new blog too! cute idea with the 'banana' cake :)
